Hello!  I'm Angie Nichols, DEM.

I'm a midwife, currently working with the amazing team at Utah Birth Suites in Provo, Utah.  My midwifery education was facilitated through Aspire Birth Academy, Apprenticeship, and the NARM PEP process.

I've been working at Utah Birth Suites since the spring of 2021.  I  am also a DONA-trained doula, placenta encapsulator (I give discounts to Utah Birth Suites clients), and mama cheerleader!  I love learning, homeschooling my children, traveling, quilting, and music (I have a degree in music and play the violin and am learning the cello).

I am passionate about encouraging and supporting women.  I believe the experiences that come through pregnancy, birth, and motherhood can be some of the most empowering and fulfilling things a woman can go through in life.  I also believe that women need other women- to befriend, nurture, teach, and mentor each other.  We were meant to help lift each other up and cheer each other on.  I believe that those things are very much roles of a good midwife, and doula!

I have been interested in pregnancy and birth since I was a young child and was so excited to get to become a mother.  My journey to motherhood was hard and took several years.  After seven years of marriage and failed fertility treatments, my husband and I were blessed to adopt a baby boy and then a baby girl, which were some of the greatest experiences of my life.  Several years later, at the age of 34, I became pregnant miraculously on my own and had a beautiful baby girl, which the doctor said was a one in a million experience... he was wrong... I quickly had four more babies in the next five years and am now a mother to 7, ages 21 down to 5.

I'm grateful for all of my birth experiences.  They taught me that I am stronger than I could ever imagine- all women have that strength inside of them.  It's always such a privilege supporting women as they go through the transformative experience of giving birth.
